Hi! I'm a french melomaniac illustrator.
The purpose of this blog is to stimulate your senses by sharing some of my artwork production and some great out of print music.
I worked for children books editors during the last decade. What a fight! Since one year I'm a part-time employee in one of the nicest independant library I know. I can now refuse the badder contracts and when possible, take some time for a personal artistic creation. The time is now and it feels so good to be creative again!
I'm also a "record collector" and music has always inspired me since the begining. I mostly find inspiration in what we could name "black music" but I find this categorization much too restrictive as my apetite for musical discoveries is growing day by day and always pushes my cultural edges further. Basically I love african, brazilian and latin music, soul, funk and jazz... My favourite records often belong to to my golden decade: 1965-1975 with a good bunch of exceptions of course... Well, I must admit the more it goes the more I'm hooked on good african music, resounding so very deeply in me.
Well, the purpose of beeing a blog owner is mainly to stimulate my personal artwork production. Without promising anything I'll do my best to post as frequently as possible and to connect my personal creation with good music.
I just hope we'll have good times here!
